An acid-containing formula and an enzyme blend

Zypan lists betaine hydrochloride, pepsin, pancreatin and animal tissue ingredients. Multizyme lists a 464 mg blend including pancreatin, bromelain, papain, amylase, cellulase and lipase, alongside date, almond and pineapple ingredients. A shared ingredient does not establish equivalent amounts or interchangeable use.

The total blend weight does not tell you the activity of each enzyme. Do not compare enzyme strength by the number of milligrams alone or infer a finished-product clinical result from an ingredient name.

Tablet and capsule directions differ

The recorded Zypan directions specify two tablets with each meal and swallowing the tablets whole. Multizyme specifies one capsule with each meal. These are separate product directions, not a conversion ratio. Follow the selected label and your practitioner’s instructions.

Resolve the important restrictions first

Zypan has animal-derived ingredients and an acid-related suitability caution, including discussion with a practitioner when acid-reducing medication is used. Multizyme contains almond, animal-derived pancreatin and a gelatin capsule. Neither should be assumed vegetarian.

Persistent digestive symptoms need a clinical conversation; choosing one blend over another does not establish a diagnosis. Bring the complete label and medication list to that conversation.

Choose the exact package before ordering

Use the size selector on each product page. The price and authorized WSNC store handoff follow the chosen product number. A larger package changes quantity; it does not establish that a different formula or dose is appropriate.
