How to read digestive supplement labels
Start a digestive-formula comparison with the label, not the symptom named in a search result. Acid-containing formulas, enzymes, microbial formulas and fiber products answer different ingredient questions, even when they share a Health Guide.

Identify the formula approach
Zypan includes betaine hydrochloride alongside pepsin and pancreatin. Multizyme combines several named enzymes with food ingredients. ProSynbiotic and Prebiotic Inulin belong to different ingredient approaches again. Their placement together helps discovery; it does not make them substitutes.
Find the serving unit and the measurement
Read whether the declaration is per tablet, capsule, scoop or multi-unit serving. A proprietary-blend weight is the total declared blend weight; it is not a disclosed amount or activity value for every component. When an enzyme activity unit or microbial count is provided, read the label’s unit and basis rather than comparing it directly with milligrams.
Read the complete ingredient and caution sections
Food allergens, gelatin, animal-derived ingredients and acid-related restrictions can change suitability. Multizyme’s almond and gelatin details and Zypan’s acid-related caution illustrate why a short summary cannot replace the full label. Do not use a broad digestive-support label as clearance for medication compatibility.
Use the product pages to finish the comparison
Open each formula’s complete facts, select the correct package and bring unanswered questions to your practitioner. Changing the package selector changes quantity and handoff; it does not choose a treatment for a digestive symptom.
Questions about these labels
Does a larger blend weight mean stronger digestion support?
The total weight alone does not describe individual enzyme activity, ingredient amounts or a finished-product clinical outcome.
Should I compare one capsule with one tablet?
Use the stated serving basis for each product. Capsule and tablet counts are not a dose-equivalence rule.
