Min-Chex® FAQ
Clear answers based on the current manufacturer listing and practitioner context.
Does Min-Chex contain iodine?
Yes. Each capsule lists 300 mcg of iodine, so thyroid history and antithyroid medication should be discussed with a practitioner.
Does Min-Chex contain wheat?
Yes. Defatted wheat germ is listed, and wheat is identified as an allergen.
Is Min-Chex vegetarian?
No. It contains gelatin and several bovine, porcine and ovine tissue ingredients.
Is Min-Chex the same as Min-Tran?
No. Min-Chex supplies niacin and B6 along with iodine and a tissue-and-mineral blend. Min-Tran has a different mineral-based formula. Compare declared iodine across all products, and follow Min-Chex’s direct-professional-supervision warning rather than copying a marketplace’s dosing suggestion.
