Common questions

Viranon FAQ

Clear answers based on the current manufacturer listing and practitioner context.

What is Viranon for?

Viranon is an immune support formula containing Thuja, St John’s Wort and Licorice to support the body’s normal resistance function.

How is Viranon used?

1 tablet 3 times daily, or as directed.

What is included in Viranon?

Each Serving Size (1 Tablet) contains: Thuja leaf 3:1 extract 66.7 mg (from Thuja occidentalis leaf 200 mg), St John’s Wort herb flowering top 6:1 extract 225 mg (from Hypericum perforatum herb flowering top 1.35 g, Containing hypericins 675 mcg), Licorice root 12:1 extract 241.7 mg (from Glycyrrhiza glabra root 2.9 g, Containing glycyrrhizin 30 mg).

Why are Viranon’s constituent amounts and medicine cautions important?

The current panel separately declares extract weights, plant equivalents, hypericins and glycyrrhizin; these numbers describe different measures. It is not a DGL licorice preparation. St. John’s wort and licorice have important interaction considerations. The manufacturer says not to combine Viranon with prescription drugs without the prescribing physician's advice and lists specific cardiovascular, potassium, pregnancy, lactation, UV and epilepsy cautions. The product name does not establish antiviral treatment.
